The approximate cost of $12,000 covers annual school supplies for 7000 students. The backpacks are distributed to children around major cities throughout Afghanistan by the US Army’s Provincial Reconstruction Teams. It’s part of an effort to build good relations with local Afghan families and the backpacks are prepared in Houston, USA, by American school children. Each backpack will be engraved with our Afghanistan World Foundation name and logo.
